BRANCH OFFICE
A Branch Office may be established by foreign company wishing to carry out certain projects or business activities in Thailand.
The branch office is governed by the Foreign Business Act and has the following characteristics:
It is fully foreign owned
It’s considered the same legal entity as the foreign head office and bears the same name as its parent company
There are no requirements to have a local shareholder or director
May conduct various business activities regardless of whether or not they generate any revenue
If these activities are considered restricted under the FBA, a Foreign Business License must be obtained
The minimum capital must be at least 3 million Baht for restricted activities and 2 million Baht otherwise
May exist for an indefinite period of time
