Divorce in Thailand is governed by the Civil and Commercial Code and may be accomplished by mutual consent of the spouses through an easy and straightforward procedure at the local municipality, or, in case to couple cannot agree on the terms of the marital dissolution, this can be done through a more complicated and expensive court procedure.

In order to file for an uncontested or administrative divorce in Thailand, no evidences or motives to end the marriage are required. However, before the spouses mutually agree to sign any agreement regarding divorce proceedings, professional legal advice is highly recommended.

At Antares, our experienced family lawyers can provide a clear overview of divorce in Thailand and guide you through the whole process.

We can also represent you in negotiating divorce settlement matters, such as child custody, child support, division of all real and personal property, and spousal support, as well as in drafting a divorce agreement to reflect the settlement.
