Divorce in Thailand is governed by the Civil and Commercial Code and may be accomplished by mutual consent of the spouses through an easy and straightforward procedure at the local municipality, or, in case to couple cannot agree on the terms of the marital dissolution, this can be done through a more complicated and expensive court procedure.
