Board of Investment (BOI) is the principal government agency of Thailand for encouraging investment from both foreign and local entrepreneurs. The business activities eligible for investment promotion include agricultural, industrial and service sectors, mining, development and technology transfer.
Board of Investment may grant both tax and non-tax incentives to encourage the companies to contribute to Thailand’s progress, provide new jobs, and stimulate the local economy. Major privileges include 100% foreign ownership, permission to own land, corporate income tax exemption, exemption from work permit and visa rules for foreign employees.
